10. Fujiyama Roller Coaster

In Japanese Fujiyama means the "king of mountains", therefore you can conclude that Fuji-Q Highland park chose this name so it could be known as the king of all roller coasters in Japan. Fujiyama is one of the tallest and longest steel coasters in the world.

This megacoaster stands 26-storeys tall, features a steep 230-foot descent at a 65 degree angle and a top speed of 80.8 mph. After the twenty three story plunge, Fujiyama's trains follow a double out and back layout with a number of airtime producing hills and drops that is well over a mile in length.



9. Thunder Dolphin

Thunder Dolphin is a prized steel roller coaster at the Tokyo Dome City Attractions amusement park. At 80 meters (260 ft) tall, this megacoaster has a maximum speed of 130 kilometers per hour (81 mph). Its 1,066.8 meters (3,500 ft) long course begins with a 218-foot descent at a steep 80 degree angle then the trains long passes through both a hole in the LaQua building, and through the Big-O, the world's first centerless Ferris wheel.



8. Intimidator 305

Voted the Best Coaster of 2010 by Amusement Today, Intimidator 305 features yellow supports with red track. This "Giga-Coaster," races you up its first, 300 feet (91 m), with a maximum descent angle of 85 degrees in a matter of 20 seconds with speed reaching up to 94 mph.

Roller coaster enthusiasts rave about the ride's high-speed twists and turns.



7. Leviathan

The Leviathan located at Canada’s Wonderland is currently Canada’s tallest and fastest roller coaster. This Giga-coaster opened in 2012.

The bone-crunching ride is 5,486 feet long with a height of 306 feet and accelerates up to 92 mph, making it one of the top 10 fastest roller coasters in the world as well.



6. Millennium Force

One of the top ten roller coasters in the United States, Millennium Force is a big attraction at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. The roller coaster clocks in at 93 miles per hour, which is no surprise since Cedar Point is known for their range of extra fast roller coasters. what makes Millennium Force stand out above the rest is its innovative use of the magnetic braking system instead of using traditional friction, and its breaking of six world records including tallest complete-circuit roller coaster.



5. Steel Dragon 2000

Located at Nagashima Spa Land in Japan, Steel Dragon 2000 boasts one of the longest tracks in the world at 8,133 feet long with speeds of 150 km/h (95 mi/hour). Utilizing a traditional lift hill, this coaster gradually climbs to the top of the first hill before dropping 306 feet. the ride looks very impressive as riders are dared to overcome more than ten steep ups and downs at impressive speed. It takes nerves of steel to sit calmly through what feels like the most suspenseful 1:15 minutes of your life. This Giga-coaster ride is not for the faint-hearted.



4. Tower of Terror II

The Tower of Terror II located at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia is a reverse free fall roller coaster using “escape pods” as the cars for the ride. It allows passengers to experience the force of gravity in full. The thrilling ride shoots riders backward up the 115 meter high tower in just seven seconds, dangles you in the air for a few more, and then drops riders back to earth at a 90-degree angle and at 100 mph.



3. Superman Escapes from Krypton

Superman: Escape from Krypton is a steel shuttle roller coaster located at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, United States. For the 2011 season, Superman The Escape was transformed into Superman: Escape from Krypton. The most significant change was positioning riders to face backwards so they now look towards the ground rather than the sky on the vertical track.

This Superman themed roller coaster begins in the Fortress of Solitude, a crystalline ice-cavern high atop the park's mountain ridge. Confronted by enemy forces who have broken into the Fortress, guests escape through a special effects tunnel in 15-passenger vehicles before experiencing the thrill of a lifetime.

Brace your body as you accelerate through Krypton; going 0 to 100 MPH in just 7 seconds, before shooting straight up a 41-storey (415 ft) tower just like superman!

When you reach these speeds your body will reach utter weightlessness and you’ll feel like you are temporarily floating. As you reach the top, get ready for the return journey! You will plummet back down returning to the your headquarters having escaped Krypton for good!



2. Top Thrill Dragster

The 120-mph steel roller coaster Top Thrill Dragster is Cedar Point's 16th scream machine. It is a "Rocket Coaster" featuring a hydraulic launch that shoots the trains from zero to 120 miles-per-hour in just 4 seconds. A few seconds later, the 16-passenger trains then "reach for the sky" as they climb up a 420-foot tall tower, twisting 90 degrees while ascending. Cresting the apex atop 42 stories the train starts a 400-foot vertical drop with a 270-degree spiral twist. While in descent the coaster once again reaches speeds in excess of 100 miles-per-hour!



1. Kingda Ka

Kingda-Ka is one of the most impressive high-speed roller coasters of the world. Kingda Ka is currently the world’s tallest and second fastest roller coaster.

Kingda Ka shoots riders around an upside-down U track in just 59 heart-stopping seconds. At the ride’s highest peak, the brave folks who step aboard soar a record 456 feet above ground. Catapulting up with the help of a hydraulic launch at a record-setting speed (128 mph), Kingda Ka reaches its top height in just 3.5 seconds.

On the way down, there’s a 270-foot spiral; this is not a world record, but there’s plenty of spinning action for this hair-raising trip, during which riders will experience both negative and positive G force.

  4. OMG! I can't ride those. I have a fear of heights and a second floor roller coaster was extreme already for me. But I'm trying to overcome it.

  10. Wow, I've never heard that there were so many deathly rollercoster all over the world. I know for sure the one in Canada and at Ohio...but those from the other countries those are insane... I am not sure if I'll be brave enough to ride on one of those.
